Numbered entry again. This is what I've learned from my 5-day-visit to India.
1) Never thought India would be so effing cold. I nearly died of coldness. I may be exaggerating but it's true. Ooty was freaking cold.
2) Bangalore's got a new airport! Wow! It has been 3 years. No wonder la.
3) Walking down MG Road, Brigade's Road and Commercial Street was like a deja vu. I miss old times. Sob Sob.
4) Indians enjoy simple things not like us Malaysians. I'm amazed how they're so attracted to lights. No need for movies or big malls. Just simple lights would've sufficed.
5) I love Indian foods. Especially gobi manchurian, poori bhaji and sweet lassi. Heh, wait a minute. I basically eat anything. Anything goes, right Rennu?
6) I am so proud to be a Malaysian.
7) Temples and palaces are scary even though they are beautiful. But I love Mysore palace. So cantik!
8) Ooty's botanical garden was the most relaxing place on planet earth. I wish I could freeze the time I was there even for a second.
9) An incident in Ooty really struck me.
7 year old boy: Malaysia? China?
Zafy: I'm from Malaysia
7 year old boy: Wowwwwww! She's from Malaysia! *started giggling with happiness*
10) I thought my visit to India would erase certain memories but I was wrong. I was totally wrong. So god please help me.
11) I find Kashmir's guys are good looking. Haha. That reminds me of a 17 year old boy I met in Goa 4 years ago.
12) Indians are very proud of their countries even with their corruption and low socioeconomic status and I think we should too. Or so according to our tourist guide.
13) They have twin towers in Bangalore! Tiruuuuuuuuu!
14) Beggers are everywhere. The rule is not to give them money. Otherwise they would come back for more.
15) Backpackers are always hot! Even without shoes.
16) I have a very low threshold for pashminas, sarees and bangles. Girls. Lame.
17) Sightseeing for more than 1 day makes me wanna puke. I need some adventure. Heh.
18) Never thought my first ghost house would be in India. Hahahahaha.
19) Ooty's lake reminds me of an episode of Supernatural in Season 2. Damn scaryyyyy
20) I brought back my favorite drink of all time - Indian Redbull. Really brings back old memories. Hehe
21) Never thought it would be that easy to see elephants on the road. We were crossing Bandipur National Park and tiba-tiba nampak elephants. So cool!
22) As usual, I hope some things just don't happen.
